Robert Muggah

Robert specializes in cities, security, climate action and digital transformation. He co-founded the SecDev Group – a risk forecasting and data science company committed to fostering digital resilience. He also co-founded the Igarapé Institute – a globally recognized think and do tank focused on citizen, digital and climate security. Robert is also a fellow at Princeton, the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the World Economic Forum and is a senior adviser to McKinsey and a non-resident faculty at Singularity University. He advises national and municipal governments, technology companies and start-ups and international organizations on issues ranging from smart and safe cities to urban climate adaptation and mitigation. He received a doctorate from the University of Oxford.
