Dror creates ideas as a vehicle for change.
Dror has an award-winning 20+ year career in product design, interiors, architecture, master planning and city planning. His eponymous NY studio collaborated with top-tier companies and developers around the world, envisioning, researching and developing systems to connect people with nature through the built environment. Some of Dror’s major works include a novel structural support system named Quadror, the masterplan of Galataport in Istanbul, Turkey, and the Cappellini Peacock chair. Additionally, his first built architectural project, Nurai Island, broke the record for the most expensive residential units sold in the UAE per sq. ft.; units sold out in 72 hours, with sales totaling 976MM.
After an extensive period of under-the-radar development, Dror Benshetrit has shifted the focus of his work to a new design and technology venture, Supernature Labs, a new framework that represents a comprehensive reimagining of the built environment which will address urban challenges exacerbated by growing urban populations and the impacts of climate change – a calling on the global community of designers, architects, planners, engineers, ecologists, construction companies, manufacturers, governments, policymakers, and all citizens to join our growing team to bring the Bioplanning approach to life.
